Pangkor Island

The cluster of islands we refer to as Pangkor is made up of one major mountainous island with 3 smaller uninhabited islands on its western shore. The whole chain itself lies west of Peninsula Malaysia facing the estuary of the Sungei Air Tawar. All islands have good beaches

Pangkor is a mountainous island with a all weather paved ring road circumventing the Island. This Ring Road is 25 kilometers long, a heaven for mountain bikers though certain stretches are made precarious by on-coming traffic. The highest "peak" on the island is 800 feet. There is a mountain trail from Pasir Bogak beach to the Sungei Pinang Town.

Pangkor Island is, a small island on the North West coast of Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca. And I live only a few kilometers away.

Some of my friends say I live in paradise island when they see the pictures. Paradise or not, it is a very good place, a very neat little island here in Malaysia, on the north west coast.

We speak now of Pangkor as one island but in fact there are nine islands in the direct surrounding. Pangkor and Pangkor Laut are the two biggest and the only two inhabited by humans.

Why would you go to Pulau Pangkor?

The Malaysian tourism destination Pangkor is very wellknown for the white sand beaches, crystal blue waters, canoeing, jungle treks, bright stars, excellent food, snorkeling, jet-skiing and tropical fruits.

Furthermore it's quiet and relaxing, in short, gorgeous and awesome! It's the ultimate Malaysian holiday destination, as many Malaysian people already
